Hey,
Here’s a short crypto fact that
you might be interested.
When Satoshi Nakamoto first
created Bitcoin,
He added a protocol named
‘Halving’.
Where the issuance rate of new
coins will be halved every checkpoint it hits,
Until it has reached its maximum
supply of 21,000,000 coins.
Since 2009, it has went through
3 session of halving,
Which happened in 2012, 2016 and
2020.
The next halving is estimated to
happen in 2024, making BTC even more valuable.
Halving is used as a measure to
make the digital asset more valuable instead of getting inflated.
The economics of supply and
demand.
There are other creative ways of
preventing crypto tokens from getting devalued like Rebase, Burning of tokens and Staking to name a few.
