Recently I had a conversation with a gentleman who was representing a skincare product.
When we talked about how he was promoting his business, he said his upline told him to post on Facebook a few times a day.
So naturally, I asked...
"How's that working for you?"
His reply...
"It's not. I've been posting about my business and
products for months, with my referral link to the company s website, and nothing so far."
Now I already knew he'd say that.
Because this is exactly what's being taught to many networkers, which is
basically a "modern" version of passing out sizzle cards and flyers... Pinning them on bulletin boards in stores, sticking them in books at Barnes & Noble, and placing them under windshield wipers.
It's like you're a passed a automatic chain-saw to cut wood, to
replace the traditional saw. Instead of learning the right technique to start up the powerful and efficient chain-saw. what you did was to take it and simply just saw away wood the "old school" ways (without starting up the motor of the chain saw).
You discovered after some sawing, you're worst than your old saw performance. You have less wood cut and your hands and arms hurt more from carrying a
heavier equipment.
What's wrong? You asked. The chain saw doesn't work for me. I better use back the old saw....
And here you go again!

My upline told me to do that 5+ years ago.
And you're about as likely to be successful doing that as the Singapore Lions
Football Team are of winning the World Cup 2022.
However, this doesn't mean that prospecting and recruiting on social media doesn't work.
Far from it.
It can work like gangbusters, when you do it the right
way.
But you've got to post strategically, with the goal of attracting the highest quality prospects, instead of just randomly spamming your link out there for the
world to see, hoping someone will respond.
