Building a business brings lots of challenges.
But there's one that stands head and shoulders above the rest.
It'll stop you dead in your tracks, and until you've conquered it, it'll crush any chance you have of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
I'm talking about fear of failure.
It's a biggie.
And whether most people want to admit it or not, they're downright paralyzed by the idea of failing.
For many, particularly folks who excelled in school, making a mistake threatens their self-image.
Not only that...
But there's a tremendous fear around how OTHER people might perceive their failure, and by extension, how that would affect their self-worth.
This is a challenge many people face...
Viewing mistakes as outright failure.
This happens non-consciously, of course, and it keeps people STUCK.
Because when you don't want to fail, you're afraid to even TRY anything that could result in it.
So...
How do you stop this self-sabotage once and for all?
Here's the quickest way to snap out of this mental funk...
You've got to redefine failure as what it really is...
A RESULT.
Which you can then evaluate and improve upon.
Think about it...
When you take action and implement what you've learned, yet you miss by a mile, fall flat on your face, or don't get the outcome you wanted...
You still have a concrete result to evaluate.
When you get out of your head and DO something, if nothing else, you'll be able to say...
"Well... that didn't work."
Then you can make a course correction and make another attempt.
It's just like driving to a new destination and missing a turn.
Your GPS simply reroutes you.
It doesn't say...
"You've FAILED as a driver and will never make it to your destination. Please spare us all your embarrassment and go home right away."
Right?
This might be a silly analogy, but be honest... have you ever talked to yourself this way?
If you're anything like the rest of us, the answer is yes, and it's time to stop it, and start looking at your RESULTS as the feedback you need to change course in your direction.
If you do that, you can't fail!
You're simply getting closer to your destination with each twist and turn along the way.
That said, I do want to warn you...
If you continue going down the same road in the WRONG direction, expecting to get where you want to go, it ain't gonna happen.
You can't keep taking the SAME actions that haven't produced any results, and expect things to somehow turn out differently.
Remember, you've got to CORRECT your course along the way.
For instance...
The methods you're using to prospect and recruit people into your business.
If what you're doing isn't getting you any closer to your destination, it's time to take a different approach.
