When I first got started in this industry...
Something seemed a bit "off" about indiscriminately prospecting my friends and family.
After all, I knew most people in my immediate social circle simply weren't going to be interested in my business opportunity, so it didn't make much sense to vomit all over them about how great the company was.
Once I learned the ropes, though...
I learned you CAN, in fact, successfully prospect your warm market, if you follow this simple rule... drumroll please...
WAIT for them to ask you.
Because when you let them ask about what you're doing, they're giving you their permission to tell them more.
And that's a totally different ball game.
Now you're engaging their curiosity and potentially opening their mind to the idea, instead of just dumping information on them, which they didn't ask for.
Trust me...
Once my friends and family could see I was serious about my business and started getting results, they WANTED to know more about what I was doing.
This is true in "meatspace."
(You know, what the kids are calling the real world these days—haha!)
And it's no different online.
Look...
Just because you're connected with someone on social, that doesn't mean they've given you permission to pitch them.
Thus, if you start hawking your deal... more often than not... it'll end up going nowhere.
In contrast...
If you used a method to get your prospects to give you their permission first, then talking about what your products do and how your business works would be totally natural.
You wouldn't ever feel pushy and you'd never get ghosted.
Luckily there's a way to do just that!
